Welcome to St Aldhelm's Academy Website
Welcome to St. Aldhelm’s Academy, a community for 12-19 year olds, where innovative learning and teaching, and traditional values go hand in hand with a caring, supportive Christian ethos.
The Academy is an exciting place to learn, where we are committed to ensuring everyone can take full advantage of a broad range of opportunities to develop their talents and abilities in a culture of respect and exemplary behaviour. Sport and Mathematics specialisms are an integral part of our stimulating, creative curriculum, and our Academy Day enables learners to extend their studies and take part in a diverse variety of enrichment activities. The Academy is organised around four Schools, where young people are part of and learn in small family communities from all the year groups. Each young person has a say in the design of their learning plan and is supported by a mentor who coaches them to succeed.
We want parents and carers to be our partners in creating a centre of excellence in lifelong learning at the heart of the community. We also work with local primary schools to make moving up to the Academy a positive experience, and with other education providers and businesses to provide the best learning experiences and opportunities for local young people and the wider community.
