The Communicate Zone comprises English and Modern Foreign Languages.
Our vision is to:

Inspire young people through providing interesting and purposeful learning opportunities.

Encourage young people to reach the highest possible standards

Encourage young people to develop enquiring minds and an interest in the world around them.
Over the past year, we have sought to widen Young People’s experiences outside of the classroom, and these experiences have included:

A meal out in a Spanish restaurant for our GCSE class, where only Spanish was permitted.

A Year 9 visit to Bournemouth Crown court as part of a spoken language project.

Performance poet Adisa involving our young people in creative writing and performance.

Theatre workshops in the Academy for young people studying Romeo and Juliet.

A competition for National Poetry Day which involved the whole Academy.

An opportunity to see Macbeth at the Layard Theatre, Wimborne.
